Hello, how are you, long time no posting. Today is a long post with many photos. as I promised earlier, I am sharing some pictures from one of our hiking trips. we went there in the begining of summer.

The whole trip of 10 km was one of the longest trip i had taken my kids to. One should be able to do it in a few hours, depending how determined you are to go fast. We were two adults (wanting to go fast), one teenage boy (very good at going fast) and two 6 year old girls (not interested to go fast but interested to play, run around a lot and stop often to drink and eat some swet treat). we made many small stops and one longer on the top.

from the top of the mountain it opens a nice view over the whole city. I messed up with my film camera settings and most film photos are overexposed. I take many photos indoors on that sunny that day i didn’t realise how much more light was in that open space. i tried to edit them in photoshop by adjusting curves a bit. it is much better now, and though i am still not happy with the colors i have something to remember anyway. and i have learned a lesson to check my camera settings next time (will most likely to forget it anyway).

I am sharing a mix of film and iphone photos this time, hope you will enjoy what i had captured.

It was a lovely day.

random still life

it has been a nice and long summer holidays, a lovely thing that is coming to end soon. we travelled a bit, rested a lot, slept as much as we wanted to, cooked proper meals and managed some renovation work in the appartament. i really feel relaxed and am able to enjoy life more. I have lots of photos that i am going to share later. For now, some quiet random still life photos, taken during past few months.

colorless Tsukuri Tazaki

I am quite sure that here isn’t a book by Murakami that i haven’t red. so, there is no wonder i grabbed this one when i saw it in my local library. I am a huge fan of his work and although i didn’t equally like all his books, i am always curiuos to read what he comes up with. I loved 1Q84 and hard boiled wonderland and wind-up bird cronicle most of all.
colorless Tsukuri tazaki tells the story on rather the minimalistic and realistic side instead of being on multi-dimentional and Murakami surreal. It is an easy read with the typical casual harmoniuos Murakami storytelling but capturing from the start anyway. the main character is a 36y Tsukuri, who sees himself as rather un-interesting (most readers going to disagree with that, most likely) and his story from when he was very young boy. his present life is intertwinned with his dreams, music, memories and colors in a similar way as in other Murakami books.
a lovely summer read if you like his other books.

i have a feeling that you can find it not exciting enough if you don’t like Murakami in general.
